Steel Hill Ranch is selling approx. 2,000 bales of 2026 grass hay. This hay is a mixture of mostly brome grass with some crested wheat grass, rye grass, and a small amount of sweet clover. Hay was cut with a Vermeer TM1410 disc mower, laid for 24 hours, then raked with a Vermeer VR1224 twin rake and left in the windrow for another 24 hours before being baled by Kipp Hinz (715) 417-0970 of Cows & Kilos LLC using a John Deere 469 Premium baler. Bales received 4 wraps of John Deere Net Wrap and were baled without rain, with moisture tests at 13% or lower during baling. These bales were put up specifically to feed the ranch’s cattle and were handled with care. Steel Hill Ranch will retain enough hay for their own use but, due to an exceptional yield this year, has approx. 2,000 additional bales available. All bales must be removed by November 20th, 2026. No exceptions!
